New York State Assemblyman Michael J. Fitzpatrick is a proven conservative leader, longtime public servant, and trusted voice for the residents, families, taxpayers, and small businesses of the Smithtown community.

 

First elected to the New York State Assembly in 2002, Assemblyman Fitzpatrick represents the 8th Assembly District with the same common-sense values, fiscal discipline, and deep commitment to public service that have defined his career.  Before serving in Albany, he proudly represented the people of Smithtown as a member of the Smithtown Town Board for 15 years, giving him a strong understanding of local government, neighborhood concerns, and the issues that matter most to Long Island families.

 

Throughout his time in public office, Assemblyman Fitzpatrick has been a strong advocate for lower taxes, responsible government spending, public safety, and protecting the suburban quality of life that makes Smithtown such a special place to live, work, and raise a family.
